Shapes: mix of cylinder, flat edge, wheel, knife edge and inverted cone
Use: polishing, finishing and cleaning
🔧 What it does & how to use
Each point is a small abrasive stone fixed to a mandrel shank for use in a rotary tool or pendant motor. They're used to polish, deburr and clean metal surfaces — handy on the bench for watch, clock and jewellery work as well as general model-making and small metalwork. With five shapes in the mix, you can match the point to the job: flat faces, curves, edges, grooves and recesses.
-
Choose the shape: cylinder or wheel for flat/rounded surfaces, knife edge for narrow grooves, inverted cone for recesses and inside corners, flat edge for broad flat areas
-
Mount: fit the mandrel shank into your rotary tool or pendant motor chuck and tighten securely
-
Run: start at a moderate speed rather than full power, especially on delicate parts
-
Work the surface: apply light, even pressure and keep the point moving to avoid overheating or gouging
-
Finish: wipe away dust and check the surface, repeating with a finer point if a smoother finish is needed
⚠️ Please check the mandrel shank diameter against your rotary tool's chuck before use, as this isn't specified for this set.
