This wrench is designed for removing and refitting screw-type watch case backs up to 50mm across, making it useful for both hobbyist watch repairers and professional watchmakers working on larger case sizes.
The jaws are adjustable via a knurled ring: turn the ring to open the jaws wide enough to grip the notches or slots on the case back, then tighten the ring so the jaws bite firmly. With the jaws locked onto the case back, turn the whole tool to unscrew the back and gain access to the movement for battery changes, servicing or repairs. Reverse the process to re-tighten the back once work is complete.
