This case knife is designed for watchmakers and hobbyists who need to remove snap-on case backs to change a battery, service a movement, or carry out other repairs. The thin, wedge-shaped blade is inserted into the seam between the case back and the case body, then gently levered to release the snap-fit without marking the case.

• Locate the seam: find the small notch or gap around the edge of the case back where it meets the case body.
• Insert the blade: slide the tip of the knife into the seam at a shallow angle.
• Apply gentle leverage: twist or press down carefully to pop the back away from the case.
• Lift off: once released, the case back can be lifted away to access the movement or battery.
• Refit: press the case back down firmly by hand until it snaps back into place.
