🔧 What it does & how to use
This is a manual crystal and case back fitting press, used by watchmakers and hobbyists to seat watch crystals and press closed case backs without cracking glass or marking the case.
Pressure is applied by turning the top wheel, giving you fine, controlled force exactly where you need it. This is a key advantage over lever-type presses, where force is applied suddenly and it's much easier to crack a crystal because the pressure isn't controlled in the same precise way.
To use: select the nylon die that matches the size of the crystal or case back you're fitting, place the watch case (with crystal or case back positioned) centrally on the base, and turn the top wheel steadily to bring the die down and apply even pressure until the crystal or case back is properly seated. The 8 supplied nylon dies cover a range of sizes, so you can match the die to the job rather than forcing an ill-fitting one.
