These nylon dies sit on the post of a watch case press and let you fit crystal glasses and case backs without marking or scratching the case, crystal or press bed — nylon is soft enough to protect the watch while still giving firm, even pressure. Handy for hobbyist watch repairers as well as working watchmakers who need a wider range of die sizes on hand.

• Choose the die: pick the flat or reversible die closest in diameter to the crystal or case back you're fitting.
• Fit to the press: slide the die's 4mm centre hole onto the press post.
• Position the work: place the case back or crystal centrally over the die and under the press ram.
• Press home: apply steady pressure with the press to seat the crystal or case back.
• Flip for a second size: turn a reversible die over to access its other diameter without changing dies.
