🔧 What it does & how to use
This crab-style opener grips the outer edge of a screw-on watch case back and unscrews it cleanly, without marking the case. It's suited to watchmakers, repairers and hobbyists working on pocket watches with threaded (screw-fit) backs, and the heavy duty build copes with larger case diameters as well as standard sizes.

Adjust the jaws: open the crab's arms to match the diameter of the case back.

Locate the tips: position the prongs into the notches or against the edge of the case back so they sit securely and won't slip.

Apply steady pressure: hold the watch firmly and turn the tool anticlockwise to unscrew the back.

Reassemble: use the same tool, turning clockwise, to screw the back on again once work is complete.
⚠️ Please check this opener is for screw-on case backs — it won't work on snap-fit (press-on) backs, which need a different type of opener.
