🔧 What it does & how to use

Stitched muslin mops like these are the workhorse buffing wheel for polishing jewellery, watch cases and other small metal parts on a bench polishing motor or flexshaft. They're used by both hobbyists and professional jewellers to cut and finish metal surfaces before a final shine.

• Mount: slide the mop onto your rotary machine's 3mm spindle and secure it in place.
• Charge: apply a suitable polishing compound to the face of the mop (a cutting compound such as tripoli for heavier work, or rouge for a final finish).
• Polish: switch on the machine and hold the item lightly against the rotating mop, moving it steadily to avoid overheating or over-polishing one spot.
• Keep separate: use a dedicated mop for each type of compound to avoid cross-contamination and keep your finish clean.
