This single Albert chain is designed for any pocket watch with a ring or bar to attach the catch end. The T-bar end passes through a waistcoat buttonhole (or lapel), letting the chain hang with the watch secured at the opposite end — the traditional way of carrying and displaying a pocket watch.

Rolled gold (also called gold-filled or rolled gold plate) is made by bonding a solid layer of gold to a base metal such as brass under heat and pressure. This gives it far more gold content than standard gold plating, and better durability and colour retention over time.
